Clearwater County would be the only county in the area without a Natural Resources Conservation Service office if plans to shut the location are followed. The NRCS Orofino office also hosts the Clearwater Soil and Water ConservationDistrict and the Idaho Soil and Water Commission offices. Shutting the NRCS office would leave the CSWCD and IdSWC searching for office space in Orofino.
