Lewiston Police arrested John M. Hill, 49, of Spokane, Wash., for trafficking in methamphetamines on Feb. 24. Hill was a passenger in a blue Subaru Forester that policde stopped for speeding in the 1000 block of Main Street. The police's narcotic detection K-9 alerted officers to the presense of drug odors. More than 87 grams of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia were found during a search of the vehicle. The driver and another passenger were arrested for outstanding warrants and misdemeanor drug charges.
