I’m writing to thank Senator Carl Crabtree for voting “yes” on Marsy’s Law. His vote gives us the freedom we deserve as Idahoans to debate and ultimately cast our vote in favor or against this Constitutional amendment. Thank you for giving the voters the power to make this decision instead of deciding not to put this important public policy question in the hands of voters.

I hope others will recognize that this vote wasn’t for or against the merits of Marsy’s Law. This vote was for or against giving voters the opportunity and freedom to decide. I hope that our house members recognize this distinction and also agree to give Idahoans the chance to make the ultimate decision to put stronger victims’ rights in our Idaho Constitution.
