GRANGEVILLE – The Fish Creek Nordic Loop was groomed Jan. 29.

“We were finally able to groomed today for the first time this season,” Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests developed recreation supervisor Samuel Manifold said Tuesday. “Hope you are all as excited as I am and have been able to enjoy some of the awesome snow we have had.”

He reported 30 inches of snow and 40 degrees at 12:30 p.m.

“We packed and groomed all loops,” he said. “We were able to set a track on all but part of two loops. Snow is soft and wet at the base, but as you get up closer to the cabin the snow was soft and dry still.”
