With head coach Charlie Shepherd's last season in charge coming to an end, the Salmon River football team added at least one more week to his storied run with a 50-12 win over Deary Saturday afternoon, Nov. 3, at SRHS.

Salmon River misfired on two point-blank jump shots – either of which would have given them a one-point lead with less than a minute left in their play-in game Saturday, Feb. 10, at GHS – and the Deary girls moved on to state by a 41-38 final score.

Payton Branstetter (18 points), Lotus Harper (12), Miranda Hofflander (11) and Emily Diaz (10) all scored double-digits for Salmon River Thursday night, but their 55-54 win over Council came down to a triple at the buzzer by Jordyn Pottenger -- her only hoop of the night.
