Prairie’s 76-49 win over Troy Tuesday night, Feb. 19, ended the Trojans’ season and kept afloat the Pirates’ hopes for state tournament qualification.

Prairie rode 21 points from Spencer Schumacher, 18 points from Damien Forsmann and 10 points from Dylan Schumacher and grew their lead quarter-by-quarter from eight points to 27.

As they had against Genesee Monday night in Cottonwood, Prairie used press defense to “bother” Troy, according to the Lewiston Tribune.

Prairie will play Wallace in a bidistrict playoff at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in Post Falls. With a win, Prairie would face a state play-in at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at McCall.
