BOISE – Grangeville held a 6-4 lead after a cold-shooting first quarter of the 2A consolation final, but Malad’s Britlynn Hubbard warmed up, scored 25 points and thawed out a 53-45 Dragons win Saturday, Feb. 16, at Bishop Kelly High School.

GHS shot six-for-31 from the field during the first half, went to the second half down by five and trailed by as many as eight during the third quarter. But Grangeville’s shooters found the range as the game wore on, making 56 percent from inside the arc, to keep it close.

Paige Lindsley finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, according to stats provided by the IHSAA, and Camden Barger scored 10. Grangeville finished 16-9 overall.
