KAMIAH — The Kubs’ original opponent for opening week, Timberline, had been planned for Sept. 3 as part of the Kamiah Barbecue Days celebration. But Timberline dropped the game, and with opponents in short supply, on Monday evening, Kamiah and CV tried to move their Oct. 22 game up to Sept. 2.

But on Tuesday morning, Aug. 31, Kubs assistant coach Pat Eades said the game change did not pass muster with the state due to a new rule.

“Now we don’t have one at all this week,” he said. “It’s terrible.”

So both the Kubs and the Rams will be idle this week, with Kamiah to play at Logos (in Moscow) Sept. 10 and CV to play at Prairie that night. The teams will keep their original game date Oct. 22 at KHS.
